The light output of the GE one is just about as good as the Philips lamp but the re-striking times are a bit longer and the start up is a little more violent with more emissive coating being spluttered inexplicably. Also, the GE lamps are a few centimetres longer than the Philips ones meaning that the cover cannot be put back on properly without any risks of potentially breaking the lamp and the risk of melting the cover as it's directly in contact with the lamp!
