Found this on line, just happened recently…
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Two Jefferson County students were killed and two more were injured when a train hit a car in Buechel on Saturday afternoon.
The train slammed into the passenger side of the vehicle, killing both people riding on that side. The driver and another passenger, who was sitting behind the driver, are in critical condition at University of Louisville Hospital.

big john i work for a railway and yes their are people out there who will stand around just to take pictures of trains,I have to tell them to get the off the track all the time . train buffs
what I wanna know is why are there like 4 or 5 people just standing around at the tracks filming????? I mean what in the hell are they doing there filming a normal mundane train passing thru and then this car "just happens" to get smashed? I think this is some sort of bullshit computer editing stunt if you ask me!

There was no crossing signal arm coming down that I can see. I think they are required everywhere.

There are plenty of crossings that don't have arms, some still just have stop signs. This one had lights and bells so there isn't much of an excuse for blowing through the crossing, especially with people standing around filming at the crossing.
