Uh, maybe gauze or a towel would be better than a band aid at absorbing 10+ mL of blood.If you're cut and bleeding quite a bit, put a gauze, towel, or shirt over it, apply pressure, and then leave it on for a few minutes once the bleeding has stopped. If you yank it off, you're just pulling clotting factors off of your wound. Even if the blood starts coming through, which is dire, just add more gauze and hold harder, don't remove gauze with partially dried blood that could form a clot.
