Extracting Bomb Fragments from the Eye

Video from Syria shows an FSA rebel getting what I presume is a bomb fragment extracted from his skull. The fragment is embedded dangerously close to his eye and doesn’t want to come out easily...At least not with the tool too small for a fragment of that size which is what his pal is using.

The victim’s both eye balls look blank and bruised – that could also mean that he was wounded in an explosion. A powerful in the face blast could easily fry both eyes.
